For my free post this week, I will write about my favorite movie, ''Kokowääh''.
The movie was made in Germany and was nominated as the best movie of the year of 2011. 4,3 million people watched the movie in Germany.
Til Schweiger, a German actor who played also in ''Inglourious Bastards'' directed Kokowääh and shared the biggest rule with his daughter Emma Schweiger. Everybody who saw the movie was fascinated.
The title refers to the way a small child might mispronounce "coq au vin", wich is a Frensh dish and means chicken in wine sauce.
What is the story?
Henry Lehnbach ( Til Schweiger ) is a screenwriter but since he broke up with his girlfriend Katharina, he wasn't very sucessful. His whole life doesn't have a real sense because he doesn't have any goals and so he doesn't reach anything.
Suddently he get the chance to write the screenplay of his ex-girlfriend's novel but to work with Katharina is not the only challenge. Someday a 8-year-old girl, Magdalena ( Emma Schweiger ) is standing in his doorway with a letter from an old one-night-stand of Henry. In the letter is written that the little girl is Henry's daughter and that she has to live in his house for a couple of weeks until her mother and her mother's husband decided how everything should go on.
Henry is completely overwhelmed and has first trouble to reach the situation but after a while he gets into his role as a father and starts to love his daughter. For the first time he has the feeling of responsibility.
The conflicts between the biological father and the not bioligacal father turn out to a partnership to make it as easy as possible for Magdalena.
Henry's life starts to get more organized and it seems that even his girlfriend gives him a second chance.
It's a wonderful movie for the whole family!
