[NEW] Segregation

The question was: Do you think that there is a segregation in life?
And yes, I do. In my opinion there will always be a segregation just because there will always be people who have more money than others. The people who are wealthier can live in a differant style than poor people.

For example: Neighborhoods. To buy a house in certain neighboorhood is more expensive than living in an other. That splits people in two categories: the people who have more money live next to eachother and the people who are less wealthy have their homes in the same area.

I think the amount of money which people have is one of the biggest reason, why there is a segregation. It differs people in so many things: where they go on vacation, in which school they are, what kind of clothes they are wearing, their cars... etc etc.

I think when a country is very poor like India for example, segregation is getting more common. You can see more the contrast between the rich and the poor people. In India they have different categories to differ people from each other depending how much money they have.

On the opposite the country where I am from, Luxembourg, is kind of a rich country because it's very very small. The segregation is not shown so obviously but there is still a segregation in other respects. Schools for example have certain clichees and people actually choose their school depending on these clichees. Certain schools are known for, that they have more 'snob' students. But generally the segregation is not so clear and obvious as in India or an other poor country, because all the people who live in Luxembourg have enough money to live a nice life. I'm very lucky to live in a country where the segregation is not so huge because when we went to Africa it let me feel bad when I saw that all the tourists were so rich compared to the inhabitants...

Some people like to live with the people of their categories. For example a lot of chinese people wanted to construct a chinatown because they liked to live in their lifestyle or habit even if they actually live in a completely different city or country. So we can see that it's not always a bad thing to live in segregation because there are some people who prefer that.

[RE] Chocolate

My post respond on Lotta's free post from last week about chocolate.

So I'am the friend of her who started with her the three-weeks-without-chocolate-challenge:D
We are doing that just for fun and to look if we are strong enough to resist the temptation.
Actually I have to say that it is so much easier to do that with friends. When I'm trying to eat less chocolate and I do it on my own, it never works because I never pass through the temptation.
For sure I miss to eat chocolate and it kills me when my sister sits next to me with a huge brownie and I'm just thinking: Alright Claire, only two weeks more...

I think nobody can exactuely tell us, why we just need sometimes to eat a piece of chocolate, it is just like it is. And nothing else can replace it. I personally can not eat something instead of chocolate when I want something sweet. Then I prefer to eat nothing with sugar and set a day where I can eat as much calories I want to eat:D

I'm happy that I'm not alone because as I said, I could never make it on my own:P I'm really looking forward to our chocolate evening because then we can enjoy all our calories we missed the last weeks and be proud that we made it. That sounds like I'm a bit weird, of course most of the time I eat chocolate without bad feelings, like everybody else, but I think it's fun to try this out. But only for 3 weeks, that's for sure! :P

[FREE] My future plans

I think the 'future plans' topic is always a huge subject to talk about. How should my future look like? I think that is always one of the most difficult questions because to decide how I want to spend my life is kind of complicated.
It should be a mixture of our dream and a realistic job. It's not always the best idea to pursue our dream job because with certain works, earning money is easier, as with others.

In Luxembourg you decide a direction kind of early because after the 4th year of highschool, you have to choose a 'section'. A, B, C, D, E, F or G
At the moment I'm thinking to take the C-Section. It is for science subjects like Biologie, Chemistry and Physics. I have the advantage that my strengths are kind of the same than my interests so it allows me to realize my dream job.

I'm interested in Medecine but I know that to study it takes a very long time and it's hard, very hard. In Europe, they make big selections at Universities, so they only take the people with the best grades. I don't know if I'm strong enough to get on well with that pressure for all these years.

When I would decide to study Medecine I would be finish with my studies when I'm around 30 years old. One the one side is it kind of late to have children. One the other side, is it only the beginning when you want to make a career as a doctor so 30 would be the earliest possibility to raise children.

It is a very difficult question and at the moment I decided to look forward step by step and everything what's coming when I'm 30, I won't think about these questions right now.

[CE] Kidnapped French woman dies in Somalia

My third post responds this week on the current event : Kindnapped French woman dies in Somalia

When I read this current event, I was so schocked...  An innocent, old laddy was at the the beach of a Kenyan Island Resort and got kidnapped. Actually it wasn't a lonly place so usually there wouldn't be a reason to worry or to imagine about such a horrible thing.
I'm always asking myself why people do that to other humans... I mean, it is obvious that they weren't interested in money because when the French woman told them that they could take all the stuff from the house, they just ignored what she was saying. They only took her away.
The article says also that it was planned, targeted attack, according to witnesses because we can see on the way how she kidnapped her that it was not important for them to hide the kidnepping from other people.
I think this current event shows us again that you can never take enough care of yourself but actually there will never be a garanty for totally safety. That scarres me a bit because the old laddy from France didn't do something wrong... I think that is also very hard for her family because it's nobody's fault. It is not the case that she brought herself in a dangerous situation and I think that is the most difficult part to accept, that it's nobody's fault...

Some French authorities tried to get the medication she needed to her and the place she was located. She had cancer so she needed her medecine to survive. The saying goes that she died because she didn't get her stuff...
Everything what I can say about this event is that it's horrible and I think there was no chance to save her...

[CE] Bhutan celebrates royal wedding

I choose to write about this current event because I'm actually a big fan of royal weddings.
You can see in the video that people from Bhutan have a totaly different way to celebrate their weddings. Clothes, traditions and the whole ceremony is different.
The King saw his future wife when he was 17. At that time she was 7 and I think it was kind of weird for him to see his wife when he was so young.
Honestly I'm against previewed weddings because I think people should choose their own partner because they have to live with each other at the end, not the person who matches the couple.
On the video both of them don't look very in love and that is missing. Smaller ceremonies are maybe not so big and decorated nice but it has a natural beauty because you can really see that the couple loves each other and that's actually the reason why people should get married.

I think its very cute that all the people are rushing to congrate the royal couple for their wedding.
It's always a big event in the whole country when the royal couple gets marry but I think it's not very fun for the couple. They are very stressed because a whole nation is looking at them and all the videocameras are there. The King's wife doesn't look very happy and I think that's too bad. Actually it should be her special day but she doesn't get the chance to enjoy it because all the people are staring on them.
For example at the royal wedding in England, people were talking about the royal kiss and I think you can not enjoy at all the moment were you get married when everybody is just waiting to see a mistake to have new gossip to talk about.

[FREE] Scuba Diving

It's getting harder and harder to find every week a topic to write about in my free post:) So this week I wanted to write about something I always wanted to try in my life but never got the courage to make it real.

Something, I always wanted to try out is Scuba Diving. Friends who went diving told me that's so amazing!
The fact, that everything is quiet around you and you can watch the different kinds of fishes is a great feeling. When I see all these pictures, which were taken by people who went scuba diving, I'm aways thinking that I would love to try it but actually I'm too afraid to dive under the water surface.

Maybe it's the case because when I was younger I had bad experiences of diving.
I would really like to try it but always when I'm deap under the water surface, I'm feeling pressed...  It's weird, I know:)
3 years ago we went to Jordan, next to the Red Sea. My parents went scuba diving and my sister too but I couldn't join them because I was ill and diving is dangerous when people are sick.

I think I'm going to start to learn it first in a swimming pool, before I'm going to the sea because that takes me the fear of the depth.
During the Thank's Giving Break I'm going to Hawai with my hostfamily, so I hope I will have enough courage to overcome my fear and make my dream comes true.

[RE] I wonder what the person I'm going to marry is doing right now

I decided to write a respond post on Sharon's free post about her future husband

I think the questions which Sharon was asking herself are very interesting and I've never thought about it in that way.
Well, so what is my future husband doing at the moment while I'm writing my free post in English right now? How old is he? Where does he live? When I started to think about all these questions, I started to get more and more curious.
Actually, we have often situations where we recognize that one year ago we could never imagine how things would turn out one year later...
So I'm sure that when I will be marry, I can remember the days where I was thinking about how and who my husband would be... I think it's funny when people are standing at a point where you have all the answers of the questions we asked ourself a few years ago.

When people have boyfriends in high school or college they always imagine to stay with them forever, raise children etc... but actually when we look over that in a realistic way is it hard to stay forever with that person. In life we will meet a lot of peopl so the risk, that we meet someday a person who matches better with us, is big.

But that's not only the case when you're young. Even when you are an adult it can happen that you meet someday another person which you like more. That makes me a bit nervous and so I'm not sure if I want to marry a person. So here we get the next question. Will we ever get married or is it enough to have only relationships nowadays?

Sophomore Biweekly Column

''Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart''
I agree with Job's advice because I think it's nice when a person can follow his heart for a last time before his death, without being afraid of the consequences. There is nothing to lose and that is what gives the people courage. That's it what people are missing, the courage to follow their heart because to do that, is not always the easy way, on the contrary. It's a shame that certain people only act in this courageous way because they know that they have nothing to lose anyway and that is what I don't like about Steve Job's advice.

I think everybody who reads Steve's sentence agrees with him. To open ourself is a great feeling, but why do people wait until there is the situation where the time has come where they are going to die?

To imagine such a situation shows us how we would act when we would stand before death. So when we think it's good to follow our heart at the end, why don't we do it from the beginning?
People are too coward to take the hard way.

I think it's wrong ONLY to follow our heart when there is nothing to lose because then people make it again easy for them and actually the point about following their heart is, to act in a way, no matter what the consequences are.

Someday it's time to say goodbye, that's a fact and most of the people don't know when the day is there. I think many people would like to know when they are dieing to have the chance to open their heart for a last time. Otherwise they were never enough courageous to do it. What if you don't know when you are dieng? That's a think what you can not plan...
You should ask yourself every evening: when you would die tonight, would you be satisfied with your life or what would you like to change? And when you can answer with: I'm satisfied. I would do everything exact as I did it even when there were some very hard times but I followed my heart all the time and so I know that I didn't lie about myself.  I think that gives you the safety and takes you the fear of death. When you wouldn't be satisfied and recoginze that you have never actually followed your heart, you should change something... Researches tell us that our heart is always stronger than our head so we shouldn't act against the natural.
What do you get from following your head when you're not happy at the end...?

Example:

Two people love eachother but the guy was never courageous enough to except that because he knew that to enter in that relationship would be very complicated. He died someday in a carcrash without telling the girl how much he actually loved her. One the one side it doesn't change something on his statement because he is dead but he will never ever have the possibility to tell the girl again how much he trully loved her. He missed the chance to be honest to the girl and to himself because he didn't follow his heart.

[CE] India creates world's cheapest computer

India invented kind of an I-Pad for people who don't have enough money to buy computers by themself. They sell this new invention for 45$ and since now, students from India have the possibility to make reasearches and use technology.

I think that it's a wonderful idea to create a cheap computer because in our world live more poor people than rich people. Education is one of the most important things but many people don't have the chance to learn or study because they don't have the money. That is one of many factors we have to change!

To give students the possibility to use the internet to find out what's going on in the world is a great thing because that gives the world the chance to give everybody an education.

It reminds me a bit of the time in the Rennaissance when Gutenberg invented the printing press. A large public education started because people got informations about many things and so they got smarter and smarter and that is what happen in India now.

I went to India with my family this year in April and I remember that we met a lot of children who had to work instead of going to school. When we asked them if they are not going to school, they told us that there is not enough money left to pay for education.
Now, people can save money to buy themself this new computer. It's much cheaper than paying every month for school and schoolstuff and they have a chance to get an education, teach themself things which they can learn with the help of the internet.

[FREE] Movie: Kokowääh

For my free post this week, I will write about my favorite movie, ''Kokowääh''.

The movie was made in Germany and was nominated as the best movie of the year of 2011. 4,3 million people watched the movie in Germany.
Til Schweiger, a German actor who played also in ''Inglourious Bastards'' directed Kokowääh and shared the biggest rule with his daughter Emma Schweiger. Everybody who saw the movie was fascinated.

The title refers to the way a small child might mispronounce "coq au vin", wich is a Frensh dish and means chicken in wine sauce.

What is the story?

Henry Lehnbach ( Til Schweiger ) is a screenwriter but since he broke up with his girlfriend Katharina, he wasn't very sucessful. His whole life doesn't have a real sense because he doesn't have any goals and so he doesn't reach anything.
Suddently he get the chance to write the screenplay of his ex-girlfriend's novel but to work with Katharina is not the only challenge. Someday a 8-year-old girl, Magdalena ( Emma Schweiger )  is standing in his doorway with a letter from an old one-night-stand of Henry. In the letter is written that the little girl is Henry's daughter and that she has to live in his house for a couple of weeks until her mother and her mother's husband decided how everything should go on.
Henry is completely overwhelmed and has first trouble to reach the situation but after a while he gets into his role as a father and starts to love his daughter. For the first time he has the feeling of responsibility.
The conflicts between the biological father and the not bioligacal father turn out to a partnership to make it as easy as possible for Magdalena.
Henry's life starts to get more organized and it seems that even his girlfriend gives him a second chance.

It's a wonderful movie for the whole family!

[RE] Friendships are never-ending

I'll respond on Jennifer's post about her never-ending friendship with her friend.

It seems to me that Jennifer has very strong friendship with Brianna and that reminds me of my friendship, I have with my best friend Julie. She is also on an exchange in Canada at the moment. We are very close to each other for already 7 or 8 years, so we experienced our whole childhood in which we grew up together.
I think that brings us so close to each other because in these 7 years a lot of things happened, her parents got divorced for example, and we were all the time next to each other and made these experiences together.

Even if we are both very busy at the moment because we have to settle down in our new life in America and Canada, we know that we are there for each other. Usually we talk everyday to each other because she is in my class in school, we go together to dance and she lives next to my street, so it's the first time we haven't talk to each other for a couple of days or weeks.

I think that Jennifer is right when she says that such a strong  friendship can never end because Julie and I, we experienced so many things together that we will always have things which connect us and that makes our friendship unbreakable.

When the chemistry between two persons is simply right, you can feel it pretty fast after spending little time with her or him. Julie is also like a sister for me because she simply knows and understands how I feel.

The Definitve Characteristic of a human being

It took me a long time to decide which topic I wanted to choose. Should I choose the characteristic of a human being or of humanity? Finally I decided to write about what human beings makes them different from other things. Even if  it seems to be a smaller topic, because it's only about one person, there are still a lot of things to talk about.

What is the characteristic of a human being is the question? What makes a human different and special compared to other creatures?

The first factor, on which you can see if it's a human or something else, is the biological and physical characteristic. When you look over that, you'll recoginze that there are a couple of more inner properties and I'll try to talk about them.

Humans have a highly developed brain because they usually get a good education about many things in life. That is why, other creatures will never know as much as human beings, because they don't go to school, they don't have the chance to learn, why things are as they are. Other creatures don't care about a lot of events because they don't know that there is a reason why, for example, the weather changes from time to time.
Because we know a lot, we are used to think in a more complex way. On the contrary, animals think in a much simpler way so they don't have to worry about things on we have to worry. That makes it easier for them and so we can say that they are "learning by doing'' instead of thinking through all the steps they want to do.
Because human beings made huge progresses since the last centuries we know a lot. Animals didn't evolve them self during the last years. The progress in the animal world will always stay on the same level however humans evolve from year to year.

I think that one of the biggest feature is, the fact, that humans think before they're acting. Animals are much more intuitive. They don't think before they are showing emotions, everything is more instinctual.
People pay in general more attention to do not hurt somebody's feelings with what they are saying or doing. They are more emotional.

The fact that people always think before they are acting can be intelligent. But it can also become as an obstacle, when people are never really spontenous. When somebody has always a plan for everything, this person risk to stand in his own way and miss the wonderful feeling about being free or doing what they want to.

An other thing is that in my opinion animals stay more in their habits or that they don't have such a huge variation in their life compared to human beings.
So humans are in general more interested in getting new experiences compared to animals. I think it's normal because humans have more possibilities.
Example: For traveling, we can take the plane. This option allows us to travel to foreign coutries to collect new experiences. Animals don't have the stimulus because they don't have the possiblities so they don't even know that these things exist.

An other factor is that humans need a social life. There aren't many people, who are happy when they are alone. Animals only care about their nearest related people. Some male animals don't even help raise their young.
I think that it's at least never happening that animals make deap friendships and humans can't actually live without relationships.
Researches tell us that we need to get love in any kind of ways to be happy. When animals need love is it more physically. A dog would never buy his partner flowers just to show him that he loves him.

When we think about all these different standpoints, it seems that there is a huge differance between humans and animals. It's true, but even people are completely different,  in my opinion there is one very big factor, on which you can see that human beings and animals are connected.

When there is an emergency situation, the facade of a human with his good behavior, planned acts and polite way disappears. In German we say: '' Wenn die Panik ausbricht, werden Menschen zu Tieren''.
It means that when there is a panic situation, humans transforme into animals.
What does that mean?
I would like to say that wee can see in all these movies where an emergency situation is as in ''Titanic'' and even in our dailylife, we can see that people can be very selfish. When it is about life or death, everybody fights for them self and even leaves sometimes other people back just to survive and save themself. It is like in the wildlife.

I think it's nice to see that two different creatures can be so different but that we recognize that we still have things in comment. It is a fact that all the creatures from earth are connected because one thing will never change, we live all on the same world.

[CE] Somalia famine response dubbed inadequate

Water and Food, two things which are normal for us, are the most important problems in Somalia. People, included me, forget often how precious water is. When we watch videos like those it reminds us to think about it and that the world has to find a solution to try to save the people who are in trouble.

How can it be that on the one side of the world people waste water and food and on the other side that people have to die because they have nothing to drink or to eat?

I think one of the worst factors about this is that people have to protest to draw attention to themselves. We have to reach that water and food get distribute all over the world because when there is a place, where people can waste water, it's a sign that we have enough to share it and to try to give it to people who don't have enough to survive.

The question is, where can we start to help those people?
Actually, I don't know because the saying goes that people have to get independant so our part is to create them a base their and help them until they can get along in their own way.

[FREE] My homecountry, Luxembourg

I decided to write something about Luxembourg for my free post this week because many people don't know a lot about this country because it's so small.

First of all I will explain you a bit about the boring things like where it is located, how many people in the country live and stuff like that...

Luxembourg is located between Germany, France and Belgium. The Population is about 511 000 from the country and the Density is 501,3/ sq mi.
We have a Grand Duke and a Prime Minister, called Jean-Claude Juncker.
People in Luxembourg live in a different time zone so the time difference is about 9 hours. For example when it's 12pm in Alameda than it's 9pm in Luxembourg. Our currency is Euro.

When people always ask me, what the biggest difference between the US and Luxembourg is, it's always hard to answer because there are so many differences. Food, laws, school, weather, attitude of the people and much more are different from the things in California.

For teenagers/young adults:
-you have to be at least 18 to get your driving license ( you can drive with 17, but your guardian has to sit next to you)
-you can start drinking alcohol and smoking when you are 16 years old
-you can stop school when you are 15 and start to work ( but the most people stay in school, go to university and work during holidays to earn money)

Food:
Like in America, the food we eat in Luxembourg is varied. Different is that the choice of the products is much bigger here.
For example the chain : Ben and Jerry's
We have Ben and Jerry's in Luxembourg but only about 5 flavors and here you have all kind of ice-cream. Actually, I was so impressed about that.
You can describe it like everything is bigger, more varied and a bit more sugared.
A thing, I was also impressed about, is that water is for free here in restaurants:) In Luxembourg you have to pay for each bottle or glas.

I recognized that the attitude of the people is also different when I compare both countries.
In my country, people are more closed when you meet them the first time so it's hard to get into contact with other people at the beginning. They are shier than the people in the United States so it's never happing that people ask each other how they are doing in shops. But after you meet people a few times, they start to be very open and so you get very deap friendships.
Because the country is so small you can imagine that there is much more gossip than in a big city.

There are a lot of more differences between the two countries. To many to write them all down:)

[RE] 'September the 11th' from Sarina Ngo

I choose to take Sarina's post about 9/11/01 because I think it's a very interesting topic and I could really understand her feelings.
''Before I never really knew what happened on that tragic day because I was only five years old.''
I can remember the day when the tragedy happened. I stayed in my grandparents home because my parents were absent for a few weeks. They had just returned on 9/11/ to Germany from their vacation in New York City. I can remember that my mother was sitting in front of the TV and she cried the whole time. I couldn't understand and was to young to realize that they were standing two days before the horrific event in front of the World Trade Center.

Now I'm older and I can imagine how my parents must felt when they heard that there was a terrorist attack at the place where they just came back from.

Sarina is absolutely right when she says killing won't solve problems. It creates even more problems and that's exactely what Osama Bin Laden wanted to reach. But what's the result about making a country problems? It only puts the World in terror and it provokes that people revenge them but in the end there's only thousands of dead people, a back and forth and no conclusion.
It's getting worse and worse.

The best thing would be when the whole world would stick together, find compromises, solve problems by talking to each other but it's not possible because the cultures are too different... Although it's not possible we should try to get on with each other because we live in the same world so we have to get on well with each other to prevent tragedies like 9/11/.

It's not realistic to try to find compromises for the whole world because the opinions about life, religions and other things are too different. Every country has to make their own rules and to try to get along in their country. That's the only way how people can prevent big fights between countries and cultures. Even if I think it's horrible how men treat women in Afghanistan and I wanted best to help them, I do not have the right to interfere in their opinions about life because I would not agree with them when they wanted to change MY opinion about life.

[HW] In a darkened room

I was sitting in that room... I couldn't even remember if I'm in a room or not. The only thing I saw was that black color around me.
I opened my eyes wide but something was different. Usually it's getting bright when I open my eyes but I stayed in darkness.
I tried to get up off the floor. Standing up was never so complicated because I couldn't find my balance. I was searching to touch a wall but there was nothing. I was standing in the middle of nowhere. The only thing I knew is that I needed to find something to save me. But how could I find it when I was kind of blind? I didn't even know if the object I searched was still in that darkened room.

The only thing I could remember was that my cell phone was in my pocket, when I recognized that this black car was following me on my way back home. I didn't know what happened after they pulled me into the car...

When I came back to consciousness, I was it that room and I could only hope that my cell phone was somewhere in that room to save me.

I bent down and start to crawl on my knees like an infant, but I was helpless like an infant! It felt like the darkness had a higher position than me. Every little thing I could hear scarred me. Things, I wouldn't even recognize when they were there in a lighted room because with light I were not scarred.

I went slowly back to the wall which gave me a little feeling of safekeeping, with my back against the wall. Even I couldn't see the walls around me I had the feeling that they were coming closer and closer. Faster and faster. I had got headache and tried to push them away with my hands but they were always in front of me. I screamed just to try to break these dark walls in front of me but when I stopped, the echo of my screaming even scarred me more and let me slump down on the floor.

The air was stifling. I was breathing heavily and even that scarred me. The only thing I wanted was to find my Cell phone to call somebody who could help me. This pressure, that only I could save me was horrible. I was desperated...

Suddently I stood up and start to run inside the room. I shmashed with all my power against a wall and fell to the ground. I was rolling on the floor, in the deep... I could feel the heat.

I was never a person, who gave up quickly but in that situation, the only thing wich felt right was to throw my head against the wall, as hard as possible...

[CE] Greece's Economic Problems

Greece's Economic Problem is something to take very seriously because it's a problem that affects countries all over the world. When the Government doesn't have enough money to pay for the costs of the country, banks go bankrupt and people from other countries, who invested money in a Greek bank, will lose their money, even they didn't do something wrong or aren't a citizen of the country.

I can understand that Europe starts to get very angry with Greece because the other European countries can not see any attempts to find a solution from Greece. They keep on spending more money than they have and expect that we keep on paying for them.
Europe wants to see progress, like raising taxes to get more money for the government, or reducing spending.  One of the most important things is that Greece has to start to be financially independent. Other European countries can not pay for them all of the time. The resources of Europe are also limited so Greece has to become independent for the future.

I think it's time that Europe places a little bit more pressure on Greece to show them that they really have to change something. That's exactly what they want to try with the meeting in October. Europe wants to see Greece's plans for the future about their economic problems.

The Government starts to get into trouble because even the people from the country start to protest and are unhappy.
In my opinion Europe should help them and try to create them a base but also let them find solutions for their own future problems.

[FREE] About Me

Hi- My name is Claire Aguilar and I'm an exchange student from Luxembourg, staying here in the United States for six months. My English is not so good because people in my country start very late to learn this language. So please excuse me, when I make a lot of mistakes :)

What about me?
I'm a fifteen-year-old girl and like I said my regular home is in Luxembourg where I live with my sister, Caroline, and my parents, Marc and Sabine. Caroline is 18 years old and will graduate next  summer. She will go to Munich to study Medicine. My father works as a manager in a bank and my mother teaches German at a private school in the capital.

In my free time I like to dance, ski, go running, meet friends, listen to music, go babysitting and to travel. As teenagers are allowed to work when they are fifteen years old, I worked in a Cafe on Saturdays.
I speak four languages: Luxembourgish, German, French and English, and at the moment I'm learning Spanish at Alameda High.

Because my interests are in Medicine and Mathematics, I would like to study one of these subjects at a University after high school.

Why did I decide to become an exchange student?
I like to collect new experiences from different countries and an exchange is a perfect way to practice a foreign language. My goal is to speak more fluently English and get new friends from California :)

Stay tuned for my next Blog posts :)
